The Hillbilly Moonshiners are a contemporary bluegrass band playing your favorite tunes from today and back in the day. That’s right, folks: The Hillbilly Moonshiners drench your dearest radio hits in some dirty Louisiana swamp water. Heehaw!
These six greasy, ungentlemanly Southerners (or Rednecks, if you will) like to have a good time, Bayou-style. Relive classic tunes by artists like Blink-182, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson and Stealers Wheel, and party to modern day hit songs by The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Mumford & Sons, and the like. So, gulp down your homebrewed, vitamin-rich moonshine (you know, the type that made your cousin Wade go blind!) and shake that ass like it’s the Summer of 69!
2023 years after the year of our Lord, The Hillbilly Moonshiners have played at over 600 different venues over the course of their 9-year existence! Would you believe that?! They played bars, theatres, music festivals all across United Kingdom, Spain, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. The Hillbilly Moonshiners shared the stage with artists such as Steve ‘N’ Seagulls, Waylon, Kensington and Suzan & Freek and performed at the Veszprém and Sziget festivals in Hungary, did a show at the Dutch Paaspop Festival and multiple shows at Zwarte Cross, and sold out a multitude of their Mumford & Sons tribute shows at some top-of-the-line venues including Hedon Zwolle, Metropool Hengelo and TivoliVredenburg Utrecht.
The Hillbilly Moonshiners play Mumford and Sons
The Hillbilly Moonshiners have grown to become the ultimate Mumford and Sons tribute band. In a span of four years, the band has toured all across Europe, performing at some of the finest festivals and music venues around. The band headlined the YouTube Music Tribute Stage during Sziget Festival in Budapest twice, sold out multiple club tours in The Netherlands and performed over three hundred shows in The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Hungary, Slovakia and United Kingdom, leaving the audience and the original Mumford and Sons speechless.
“This is unbelievable!”, Mumford’s banjo and guitar player Winston Marshall was quoted after seeing footage from the band’s 2017 summer tour. “It’s really weird to see somebody else play our songs”, Mumford’s key player Ben Lovett added.
It is hard to not have seen Mumford and Sons live over the past few years. The British folk band played all the major festivals in the world, scoring massive hit singles with songs such as ‘I Will Wait’, ‘Lover of the Light’ and of course ‘Little Lion Man’.
The Hillbilly Moonshiners play all the hits and less familiar tunes by the British folk band. From the debut album ‘Sigh No More’ to the second Mumford and Sons album ‘Babel’, straight into the ‘Wilder Mind’ and the most recent album ‘Delta’. They might even surprise you with a bootleg or a cover the band did themselves during one of their shows. The Hillbilly Moonshiners play Mumford and Sons, about as close as a tribute to M&S can get!
